Today I want to share a card that I created for the My Creative Time Designer Challenge. The challenge was to create a square card any sized square.
Here is my entry:
I started off with a 4 1/4 square card base in light yellow. The top piece of cs was cut into a 4" square which I used a cuttlebug embossing folder. I used my circle nestibility die to cut out the circle. When I cut out the circle I laid the white cs on the card base and just cut through both layers. I then created the circle frame with the next bigger sized die and the original one. I stamped a butterfly from a Gina Kay stamp set (Dogwood and Butterfly) and it fit pretty good with MCT's butterfly die in the Chunky Jar Accessories Set. I cut out 2 and hung the butterfly in the window with fishing line between the 2 layers. I finished it off with sheer ribbon and a sentiment "Hello" from MCT's Floral Sentiments. (a go to stamp set). The white embossed layer and the hello banner was popped up.
This is how I attached the butterfly, I used scotch tape to attached to the base and then applied the white layer.
Thanks for stopping by,
