Designer Challenge - Black and White

Hello Everyone,

Boy this is a crazy summer I can't believe where it has gone. I created this card for the Designer Challenge hosted by Cassandra over at My Creative Time. The challenge is black and white. So here it is:

This card is a standard size A2.  The products I used were MCT Floral Sentiments and the chunky jar accessories butterfly die. The paper is Paper Studio Boho Chic and then velum and black and white cs. The thinking of you is embossed in white embossing powder and I added twine and brads to attach the velum and pearls on the butterflies. I love making black and white cards but I love adding just a hint of color like red. Looks better in person just couldn't get a great picture.

Thanks,

New Vision Embossing

Hello,

I put up another video a couple of days ago in my new series.(Getting out those old embossing folders and dies and using them and incorporating them with the new stuff) I have had these dies and folder for some time. They didn't quite work how I thought they should so I never really used them. Well I got them out and figured out the best way to use them. So here is my video.

Just a set of 3 1/4 square cards.

Thanks,

Link up Party

Hello,

Emma over at My Creative Time is having a link up party.  She wants to see what everyone has created with her latest release.  Here are some things I have created.

This card is a 4 x 4with the lower edges rounded. I stitched the hearts on a piece of cs 2 1/8 x 2 1/2 and then popped it up. The sentiment is from an older set by MCT 100% Sweetness.

This card is a 3 3/4 x 3 3/4 one.

This is an A2 sized card. I used all of the heart dies on this card and the sentiment is from MCT 100% Sweetness.

Monday Challenge #84 - Wish Big!

Hello Everyone,

Well over at My Craft Spot with Kimberly this week the challenge is Wish Big! (anything birthday). I love making birthday cards it always seems like I need one. Well here is my card:

To start off my card is 4 1/4 x 4 1/2. The pink layer is cut 4 1/16 x 4 5/16 and the kraft is cut 3 3/8 x 3 5/8. I cut the image from the cricut cart Love you a Latte. I cut it at 3.5 inches and all pieces were cut in white. I do this sometimes it really makes cutting fast. Then I usually use my copics. This was a great image for this process (I don't recommend doing this for large pieces) Here are the colors I used. (E35, RV13, RV25, R46, G24, & E29) I used glossy accents on the top layer for the caramel sauce. My sentiment is from My Craft Spot Birthday Wishes. The banner is from MCT.

Thanks,

New Vision Embossing Series

Hello Everyone,

Today I posted another video in my series of New Vision Embossing.(where I take my old dies and embossing folders and use them and incorporate the new stuff). In this video I inked an embosslit Flower Burst from Sizzix, then I die cut hearts. I also used some paint chips to cut the dies. It has been lots of fun playing with my stuff. I have more videos coming on some other techniques I used.

The die that I used was a die that I received when I bought my first cuttle bug some years ago.

Thanks,

MCT Designer's Challenge ~Miss Rosy

Hello Everyone,

For this challenge we were to incorporate Fabric and Stitches to our projects. We could make any type of project.  Meaning, card, layout, home decor, or 3-D project. As long as we use MY CREATIVE TIME PRODUCTS with it.  I knew exactly what I wanted to create when I saw Emma's card right here. (scroll down to the thanks cards)
Here is my entry:

I started out with the DCWV paper I purchased last year, The Winter Magic Stack. I used MCT Ornament dies and Lower case dies. I used twine for my fabric and I stitched a zig zag and attached the silver paper to the card base paper. I popped up the ornaments.  I love the blue Christmas paper and when I send a thank you out around Christmas I like to make it Christmasy (not really a word). I also like to do this for the other holidays. I am giving this card to a friend at work who always does extra nice things.

Challenge "Host Emma" ~ Pinterest Inspired Project

Hello Everyone,

Today I created a project that is Pinterest inspired for the Challenge over at My Creative Time
Her challenges are so much fun and this one is no different.

For my recipe:
MCT XL Tag die
MCT Stamp and die Just Simply Live
Spellbinders Nestabilities rectangles
buttons and twine

I created a banner using the MCT XL tag die. I cut out the XL tag die 5 times in white chipboard and 5 times in patterned paper. The 5 that I cut in pattern paper I also cut a rectangle die in the center of them.(nestibilities)  I glued each chipboard piece to 1 of the pattern paper pieces  with just a few dots of glue at the edge and left the top open for a picture. I plan on putting pics of my chihuahua in them but I don't have them printed at this time. (I just had one larger pic printed so I used that one) The Just Simply Live stamp set was perfect for the banner.

I plan on hanging this in my den.

Here is where I got my inspiration, the link is directly to the project off Pinterest- Friskars. I like to figure out how to create things similar with the products I own. You could also create this banner very similar with your gypsy.

Challenge Me Monday #121

Hello Everyone,

Well it is Monday already and time for another Challenge Me Monday over at the FANTABULOUS CRICUT CHALLENGE BLOG. Today we have a really fun challenge, Wedding Bliss. Make a project for a special couple (Wedding, Anniversary). I made a project for a shower. I took a paint can and decorated it. I made this for a friend that is giving the shower. She is going to fill it with a cute Newlywed poem that was found on the internet. Example ( A lollipop - to help you lick your problems no matter how many there may be. A rubber band - to help you remember to be "flexible" in all things.A lifesaver - to keep you from drowning in everyday problems and 17 more.) By the way thanks to Anita for working with me on this project.

Here is my project:

I covered the paint can in white cardstock. I cut the top circle with the George Cartridge at 5.35."  I used the Plantin Schoolbook for the font (Kristin and Matt) welded it together on a curve. Also the heart which was cut at 4". The bride and groom were cut from the Sweethearts Cartridge and cut at 3".  The leaves were cut from the Flower Shoppe at 1.25." I used MCT rolled flower dies to create the flowers. I used beads, tulle, black ribbon and lace purchased from Hobby Lobby. Now I am so excited to see what you can create for this challenge. Once you create a project link it up to http://fantabulouscricut.blogspot.com so we can all be inspired. Don't forget to include at lease one cricut cut.

Wedding Towel Cake

Hello Everyone,

I went to a wedding shower this weekend for a friends daughter. She was registered at Wal mart but if you have ever tried to figure out what they exactly want from that print out you are doing good. The sale person was helping me and she didn't know either. So I bought towels in the colors it looked like she wanted to make my cake. I haven't had that much trouble from other stores in the past with gift registry.  I also bought a platter for the cake and after they take it apart I am sure they will find a use for it.  Also she can save some of the images I cut out and use them in scrapbooking later. Here are just a few of the pictures I took to share.
I am entering this in a challenge.

This show only the top 2 layers, the bottom picture has the 3rd layer.

I used the sweethearts cricut cartridge for most of the images, MCT (My Creative Time) flower dies for the flowers and Martha Stewart punch for the edges.

I also created a video on how assembled the cake and here it it. The cake took 2 regular towels and 2 hand towels.

I am entering this in a challenge at: diecuttindivas

Challenge Me Monday #110

Hello Everyone,

It is time again for Challenge Me Monday Over at the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog.

 #110 for May 7th  - Mother's Day
Make a project for your Mother, Grandmother or another special lady in your life using her favorite color. (ex. Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, etc.)

Here is my project:

My card is 5 1/2 square. I used the Teresa Collins Timeless paper collection.  When I bought this I didn't know what I was going to use it for but had to buy it.  Well, this was the perfect challenge for this because my mom and I love pink and when I was growing up we both liked pink and gray. I remember buying some gray pants and wearing pink shirts with them. That is why I chose this paper collection for the card. Now for the details: used my gypsy because I had to hide some cuts. I used Elegant edges for the frame in pink cut at 4". Forever young for the girl head cut at 3.25. The gray scallop was cut from Gypsy Wanderings  3.60w and 2.75h.  The silver paper is from Michael's and the ribbon from Hobby Lobby.  I used two new flower dies from My Creative Time and also used her stitched circle die and her Happy Mother's Day stamp from All around everything. I finished the card off by using my i-rock.
Inside the card.

I am also entering my card in the following challenges:

Come see what the rest of the Design Team has to inspire you over at FCCB  After that create a project for this challenge and link it up so we can be inspired by you. Don't forget your project must have at least one cricut cut.

Happy Crafting,

Tammy

Throwback Thursday Challenge

Hello Everyone,

Here are the details for this challenge:
*** This challenge is a BUG'S THEME CHALLENGE! Use any older cartridge of YOUR choice & create a project of YOUR choice using a "BUG" theme!

This is my entry:

I used the Walk in my Garden cricut cartridge, definitely an older cartridge. I cut the flower pot out at 3". I welded 2 together at the side. I did this to hold it together better. I made one of these cards years ago and remember I really like it. It was the first thing I thought of for Emma's challenge this week. I have a lot of different flowers so I decided to add some of my stash instead of making some like I usually do.  The flowers are from Prima.  I just layered some and added centers. I tied a bow with some sheer ribbon and also added a teeny tag die cut  and a greeting from teeny tag greetings all from MCT. On the tag I added a bumblebee and I also did some distressing on the flower pot. (sorry not a very good picture of it)

Now for the inside: I am not sure who I am going to give this to. Maybe I will use it for Mother's Day. Therefore, I have not stamped anything on the tag that pulls out from the pot.

Thanks,

Tammy
