MCT Designer's Challenge ~Miss Rosy

Hello Everyone,

For this challenge we were to incorporate Fabric and Stitches to our projects. We could make any type of project.  Meaning, card, layout, home decor, or 3-D project. As long as we use MY CREATIVE TIME PRODUCTS with it.  I knew exactly what I wanted to create when I saw Emma's card right here. (scroll down to the thanks cards)
Here is my entry:

I started out with the DCWV paper I purchased last year, The Winter Magic Stack. I used MCT Ornament dies and Lower case dies. I used twine for my fabric and I stitched a zig zag and attached the silver paper to the card base paper. I popped up the ornaments.  I love the blue Christmas paper and when I send a thank you out around Christmas I like to make it Christmasy (not really a word). I also like to do this for the other holidays. I am giving this card to a friend at work who always does extra nice things.

Designer's Challenge MCT

Hello Everyone,

Host this week is Ruthie. The Challenge - Create a large decorative tag at least 4 x 6. You also need to incorporate My Creative Time's stamps or dies in some way.

 Recipe for my 4 x 6 tag
Stamp set MCT Holiday Fun and coordinating dies
Scallop punch
Ribbon and twine
Artiste cartridge - flower
Paper Lost and found two 6 x 6 Blush - love this paper pack

I made a pocket on the back of the tag so I could put a gift card in it. I plan on making some different kinds of gift card holders this year and hanging them on the tree. I used non traditional colors for this tag.

I used the swiss dots cuttlebug folder behind the frame. I used the CTMH Artiste, boy I love this cartridge, to cut out the flowers and the frame and silhoutte. I used a corner punch and added some red gems in the corners. I did not include a sentiment with this card. Well, I hope you join us for this challenge and link your project up I would love to see what you have created. Designer Challenge at MCT

Hello Everyone,

I am entering the challenge over at MCT and the host this week is Shar.
Here are her details to this challenge - make your own flowers, a minimum of three (3), they don't have to be the same, incorporate some kind of bling, and use them on a card or layout. But there is a teensy twist -- you must use this lovely color palette for your project.

Here is my project - I made a set of 3 cards to go along with a box to put them in. I used the Simple Stories Harvest Lane paper pad and the only cricut cut was from CTMH Artiste the flowers. The twine is my bling it fits right in with the fall theme. Everything else was part of the paper collection.

This top picture is the box and below are the 3 cards I made out of the paper pad.

Challenge Me Monday #133

Hello Everyone,

Well it is Monday and time for another Challenge Me Monday over at the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog. This week the challenge is down at the farm. Make a project using a farm animal (cow, pig, horse, sheep etc) Well I knew exactly what I wanted to use for my farm animal the minute I heard about this challenge. First off if you can't tell I am a city girl and when I have visited the country or a farm my favorite animal was a cat. You can't have a farm without one of these or lots of these. I needed a birthday card and what better animal to put on one. I tried to show the cat in a light of queen of the farm. I hope you like it.

The base of my card is white and it is an A2 sized card. Next I layered black CS, then hot pink, and then black again. The cat was cut from Create a Critter and cut out at 3.5" and the party hat was also cut from the same cartridge. I did some inking, and I used my i-rock for the jewels. The sentiment came from My Craft Spot, Birthday Wishes stamp set. It was the perfect sentiment for my card. I hope you like it and  check out the rest of the design team they have made some amazing projects.  Then I hope you join us this week for this really fun challenge, I can't wait to see what you come up with.

Challenge Me Monday #131

Hello Everyone,

It is time already for a new Challenge Me Monday over at the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog. For the challenge this week it is Get 'em Squished (Breast Cancer Awareness). Make a project using the color pink.
Here is my Project:

For my card today I used CTMH Artiste and Stand and Salute. My card base is 6 by 4 1/4. Just wanted to be a little different on size. The ribbons were cut from the Stand and Salute and 1 is cut at 5.5" and the other is 3".  The doily and the flower were cut from the Artiste and cut at 3.5" and 1.25" on the flower. The sentiment is from an old stamp set from Stampin Up. I colored the smaller ribbon and flower with my copic markers. I then used my air gun and sprayed some of the same color copic for the top piece of card stock. Well I hope you check out all the design team for some inspiration. They have created some amazing projects. Next I hope you take this challenge and link your project up. Thanks for stopping by.

Challenge Me Monday #129

Hello Friends,

I hope you are having a wonderful day. Today there is a new challenge over at the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog. The challenge is End of Summer. Make a project that reminds you of summer. Well I think the best thing about the end of summer is apples. I just love to go to a orchard when it is still August. They are so refreshing and I can't get enough of them. You know the saying an apple a day keeps the doctor away. So I made a hope you feel better card because you know you feel better eating apples. One of my favorite apples also comes ripe in August.
Here is my card:

I started off with an A2 sized card. I cut the apple core from the Preserves Cart. I cut it at 3.5 and distressed the edges with vintage photo used some twine and you can't tell from the picture but I used my stylist on the leaf and added some seeds. The doily was cut at 4 from the Artiste Cart along with the border which was cut at .65. The circle was a nestability die .I added some bling with my i-rock. I hope you liked my card. Like I said this is my favorite time of the year. How I hope you check out the rest of the design team for more inspiration and then we would love to see what you make.

Challenge Me Monday #127

Hello Everyone,

Well, it's time for a new Challenge Me Monday over at the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog.
Today the challenge is, On the job. Make a project using an occupational character (policeman, mailman, doctor, teacher, etc).
For today this is my project:

I used the cartridge My Community, it has been some time since I used this one. I cut the fireman and all his layers at 4". I cut everything in white so I used my copics on everything even the layers. It is so easy cutting out in white. The gray and light yellow stripes on his outfit I just made they did not come with the cut. I looked at firemen images on google to see how to color him and I saw this and added it. I used a stamp set by K. Andrew Designs, Amazing You. I not quite sure but I may even use this for a birthday or thank you card. I did not finish the inside until I know what I am doing with it.

Don't forget to take a look at the rest of the design team and then I hope you take this challenge and link up your project. I would love to see what you do.

Challenge "Host Emma" ~ Pinterest Inspired Project

Hello Everyone,

Today I created a project that is Pinterest inspired for the Challenge over at My Creative Time
Her challenges are so much fun and this one is no different.

For my recipe:
MCT XL Tag die
MCT Stamp and die Just Simply Live
Spellbinders Nestabilities rectangles
buttons and twine

I created a banner using the MCT XL tag die. I cut out the XL tag die 5 times in white chipboard and 5 times in patterned paper. The 5 that I cut in pattern paper I also cut a rectangle die in the center of them.(nestibilities)  I glued each chipboard piece to 1 of the pattern paper pieces  with just a few dots of glue at the edge and left the top open for a picture. I plan on putting pics of my chihuahua in them but I don't have them printed at this time. (I just had one larger pic printed so I used that one) The Just Simply Live stamp set was perfect for the banner.

I plan on hanging this in my den.

Here is where I got my inspiration, the link is directly to the project off Pinterest- Friskars. I like to figure out how to create things similar with the products I own. You could also create this banner very similar with your gypsy.

For my project...

For my project I made a picture box. The large box measures 5 x 7 and it will hold a professional 5 x 7 school photo.  The side are 3/4" and the remaining boxes are 3 x 2 1/4". I used a medium to heavy chipboard to create the boxes. The boxes are connected with hot glue first then tissue tape which I painted black and added some gold leaf. The paper I used for the inside of the boxes is Graphic 45 An ABC Primer. The cuts are from Create a Critter and Locker Talk. I also used MCT banner dies. I am not sure what I am going to do with it yet so I haven't stamped on the banner. Each cricut cut was cut out in white CS and I used my copics to color them (even the layers are cut in white). Attached in the back is a hanger for the wall.

Well this has been an amazing hop with some very talented ladies. This is the end. I hoped you have enjoyed this and been inspired.

Hello Everyone,

It's Monday and time for another Challenge Me Monday at The Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog.
Today the challenge #123 is Jump in and cool off. You are to make a project with a water theme (pool, beach, water park, etc.) Don't forget to include at least 1 cricut cut. Here is my project:

I live 1 mile from the beach. (wonderful Lake Erie). I am blessed I know. This summer we have had an amazing time there, so I decided to make a simple mini book to document and remember it. I am only showing the cover this week because it is a work in progress. My husband and I have walked, run and got in much better shape here this summer ( lots of steps and hills). It is so beautiful and many days there is such a nice breeze.(exercise can even be fun here)  Some days after a work out we sit on the beach and relax and some days we put flips on and walk the edge of the water. The pebbles in the sand are some of the shells and beach glass we have found. It has been truly an amazing journey.
Recipe:

Just Because Cards: Sun which I applied glossy accents to
Pack your Bags: Beech chair and girl (used copics to shade her a little)
Sports Mania: Runner
Sand is cork board
Beach is Grunge board Alpha set inked and rock candy distressed stickles
Paper Pack for Mini is A Day at the Beach by The  Paper Studio
Cinch for the binding

I hope you check out the other design team members, I am sure you will be inspired. Then I hope you take this challenge on (it is lots of fun) then link your project up. Don't forget to have at least 1 cricut cut. Good Luck!

Challenge Me Monday #121

Hello Everyone,

Well it is Monday already and time for another Challenge Me Monday over at the FANTABULOUS CRICUT CHALLENGE BLOG. Today we have a really fun challenge, Wedding Bliss. Make a project for a special couple (Wedding, Anniversary). I made a project for a shower. I took a paint can and decorated it. I made this for a friend that is giving the shower. She is going to fill it with a cute Newlywed poem that was found on the internet. Example ( A lollipop - to help you lick your problems no matter how many there may be. A rubber band - to help you remember to be "flexible" in all things.A lifesaver - to keep you from drowning in everyday problems and 17 more.) By the way thanks to Anita for working with me on this project.

Here is my project:

I covered the paint can in white cardstock. I cut the top circle with the George Cartridge at 5.35."  I used the Plantin Schoolbook for the font (Kristin and Matt) welded it together on a curve. Also the heart which was cut at 4". The bride and groom were cut from the Sweethearts Cartridge and cut at 3".  The leaves were cut from the Flower Shoppe at 1.25." I used MCT rolled flower dies to create the flowers. I used beads, tulle, black ribbon and lace purchased from Hobby Lobby. Now I am so excited to see what you can create for this challenge. Once you create a project link it up to http://fantabulouscricut.blogspot.com so we can all be inspired. Don't forget to include at lease one cricut cut.

Bow Wow Cake with the Cricut

Hello Everyone,
Today I am showing you a diaper cake I made for my Nephew and his Wife. I used several cricut cartridges but the main 2 were Create a Critter and Sports Mania. They have on their registry the Lambs and Ivy Bow Wow collection. This is how I decide exactly how to decorate the cakes. I get my gypsy out and start searching for images I can use at look similar to the collection.  Each image is put on with mini glue dots so they are easy to take off when the cake is taken apart. I tell the mothers to save all the images even if they don't scrapbook, they may at a later date. Also they could decorate a frame with some images and etc. Well I made a video and also I have pics. Hope you enjoy.

Here is my video:

Hello Everyone,

Well it is time for another Challenge Me Monday over at the FANTABULOUS CRICUT CHALLENGE BLOG. Today the challenge is Sunny Days. Make a project using a yellow sun. I hope you join us on this challenge it was lots of fun. Now for my project:

Have fun in the Sun! I started this off with a shaped card from the Wild Card Cartridge, which I cut at 5". The sun came from the Just Because Cards Cartridge. The umbrella, flips and surf board from the Life is a Beach Cartridge.  Finally the inter tube, lounge chair and beach bag was cut from the Everyday Paper Dolls Cartridge.  The sentiment is from the Have fun in the sun MCT Stamp set. To create the sand I tore paper and used my two way glue pen to adhere Ultra fine Flower Soft in the sand color. I also used my copic BG0000 for the sky, the white didn't get it.
If you haven't checked out the rest of the design team head on over I am sure you will be inspired. I can't wait to see what you create.
